ENGLAND'S UNDERTAKING.
NO EXPEDITIONARY FORCE ABROAD.
RT. HON. JOHN BURNS-RESIGNS.
Sir Edward, Grey, in the course.of a supplementary statement, said that the Government had given no undertaking to send an expeditionary force abroad. "My answer to the French Ambassador, that the Fleet wpuld protect the coast of France," Sir Edward continued, "was subject to . Parliamentary approval, and is not a declaration of war."
The Bight Hon. John Bums, President of the Board of Trade, has resigned from the Ministry owing to his disagreement with the Government's war policy.
