The following is the Sumner sunshine record for the month of July: — Maximum sunshine on the 20th and 27th, 9hrs; 8 hours and over on six days, 4th, 16th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 27th; no sunshine on six days, 2nd, 9th, 15th, 38th, 19th, and 24th. Ifc was decided to approach the owners of sheep on Scarborough and see if arrangements could be made to protect young trees.
