LABOUR SECRETARY'S „ EXPERIENCE. Mr P.. Ellis, who is secretary of a number of Labour Unions, to-day sent tho following telegram to Mr J. McCombs, M.P.: — ' 1 Number of men out of wor 1c and can not. get it; the Labour Department lias instructions to send 150, but to date has only sent about. P>o, and will not send more until Wednesday, in spite of the fact that a large number of married men have registered. I>o something immediately.' 7 ''lt is quite an ordeal to go to the office in the morning," said Mr Ellin, '■' because of the number of men out of work who stick me up and want me to find work for them. Many of them are strangers to me, l»ut others I know have been out of work, and are looking for it. Large numbers come from the freezing works, which closed down this month.
