ADVICE ON FISHERIES. By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright. (Received July 30, 10.50 a.m.) PERTH, July 30. Many degrees were conferred on visiting scientists at the University graduation ceremony. Professor Herdman, in the course of his first lecture, urged Australia to take a lesson from the older nations, by exploring and exploiting her fisheries and bearing in mind that all regulation of fisheries must be based on - scientific investigation.
