EXPORT DUTY CONSIDERED.

SYDNEY, July 27.
An inter-State Commission is considering whether an export duty on Australian ores would interfere with the miners.
The mining companies' witnesses applied for a bounty of 25/- per ton on refined copper, arguing that such a bounty would compel the smelting of ores here, which at present, are sent abroad.
