MR GEBBIE ON HELL.

To the Editor of THE SUN. Sir, —No doubt all those, truly Christian souls who went to hear Mr Gebbie on Sunday will be delighted at the assurance that Hell is real. Perhaps some of them had, on some occasion or* Other, allowed themselves to think that God, who is is all-good, all-kind, and all-loving, would find no place in His heart for an undying hatred towards those who had done Him harm, or had spurned His offers of love. Perhaps these Christians had imagined God .was possessed of. a heart as tender as that of an earthly human mother, who, finding her children going astray, yearns to save them ever, and wishes to hate them never. To such poor misguided souls Mr Gebbie's address will come as a great relief, and they will rejoice that by., far the greater number of the human race will live for ever and ever in awful pain, and will undergo unutterable torture, all because they refused to believe that God is love. Go on, Mr Gebbie, your work is a truly holy one, for it brings such tidings of great joy to many sin-sick souls. And now,-Sir, -may I ask Mr Gebbie if he will please co-operate with the pious hospital tract distributor, for I assure him that he is adapted to that task. By the way, Sir, isn't it a good job that moet folk don't believe Mr Gebbie's story of Hell?—I am, etc.; H. MORETON.
