Auckland remit advocating the .appoint- - ment of a committee to consider and -draft a scheme of government by an elective u in order that the Farmers' Union-may enter on an active campaign-to bring the ; principle clearly before the electors. . ~ The motion was rejected, in. favour of . an expressing. the opinion - that the elective executive is preferred to the party system which at -present exists. -■
