In the Legislative Assembly Mr Wade's amendlnent, demanding an enquiry into or the withdrawal of Mr Holinan's charges against the-Speaker, and Mr James's amendment that members of Parliament should not act as land agents, were negatived by 45 votes to 35 in each case, and the Address-in-Reply adopted.
