On the strength of the argument that it will prove a valuable advertisement for Australia, the Minister of Works lias promised to recommend that, a substantial sum be given to assist the funds for sending two football teams, picked from all the States to give exhibition matches in connection with the Panama Exhibition.
[A cable message from Melbourne '.last week stated: —It is proposed to ] form a company, to be called'" Australian Footballers, Limited," with a capital of £IO,OOO, and to'seud two teams to tour the world, leaving in January next. The intention is to play at Panama, the United States, England, France, and South Africa. The prospectus is being issued this week.J
