WAEKATO v. WAIEAEAPA.
Prett Aitociatitn. HAMILTON, July 22. For the fourth time this seaßon Waik«ito to-dajr successfully defended the Nordon Cup, this time against Wairarapa at Hamilton, The ground was muddy. The superior combination of the home team resulted in a win for Waikato by four goals to one. But for the excellent defence by the visitors' backs, the result must have been more disastrous to Wairarapa.
ENGLISH LADIES' TOUR.
WELLINGTON, July 22
At a meeting of the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association's Tour Committee to-night, Mr A. W. Manning was appointed the association's representative to travel with the English ladies' touring team in New Zealand. He is also to act as sole selector of the New Zealand teams to play agaiust the visitors.

SATURDAY'S TRIAL MATCHES.
The senior trial games will be played on the Polo Grounds on Saturday. The C v. D match will commence at 2 p.m., and the A v.
