SUMNER NOTES.
A very successful progressive euchre and social evening was held in the Cadena Rooms 011 Wednesday evening, the proceeds being in aid of the Children's Open-air Home fund. The Mayor (Mr G. W. C. Smithson) acted as M.G. The progi*essive euchre prizes were won by Mrs Black and Miss Masefield, and the "booby" prizes by Miss Pratt and Mrs Lawrence. Musical items were given by Mrs I. Wilson, Mrs Tait, and Mr Norman Smith. The Mayor thanked all present for their attendance, and announced that the fund would benefit to the extent- of - over £0 as the result of the evening's entertainment.
