Pre** Association. WELLINGTON, July 22. " The Department of Agriculture has deceived the following cablegram from the High Commissioner:—The wool sales dosed with a strong demand for all classes. Trade is good, and the supply falls short of the demand. ProBpects are favourable for a continuance of the present prices. American purchases are approximately estimated at 17,000 bales. Six thousand four hundred bales of New Zealand wool were held over. ' The estimated values are: merinos 1/1 i "to 1/4, medium 11 id to 1/2, inferior 9d to lid, fine crossbreds, all grades, 1/3 to 1/5, medium crossbreds, all grades, 1/- to l/2i, coarse crossbreds, all grades, lOd to 1/1.
