Shaw, the manager of the Senghenydd mine, has been fined £24 and 20gs costs for breaches of the mine regulations. The charges against the company were dismissed. [Early in May the Home Office issued summonses against Edward Shaw, manager of the Senghenydd mine, wh§re a disaster involving much loss of life occurred some months ago, for negligence in connection with safety lamps, regis: tration of the temperature, and failure to provide means for reversing the air current; also for failure to prevent dust accumulating.]
