RECORD PRICES.
Press Association. ASHBURTQN, July 18. The "Guardian" states that it is probable that the average prices for breeding ewes, and indeed for all classes of sheep, realised af the clearing sale at Haling yesterday, constitute a record for any clearing sale held in mid-Canterbury since the big Craeroft sale of ten years ago. The 1269 breeding ewes offered averaged 28/- per head, while the whole of the sheep, totalling 1404, averaged 27/-; breeding ewes made up to ;»!/-.
