MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) Booth, Macdoeald and Co. (Mr F. Wilding) sued Wilfred Langdoun ( vfr Hunt) for £27 alleged to be due on an Li stalment for machinery taken over on the hire pi. reh use system, but subsequently 'returned. Samuel Edgar, carrier, was charged with stealing one case of benzine, valued at 14/-, the property of Ernest Henderson and others. The accused pleaded guilty. Senior-Sergeant Ryan stated that the accused went to the store of Ltd., with an order for five cases of benzine. The store was in charge of boy of 15 years of age. Instead of .fire caßes Edgar secured six. When taxed afterwards by Mr Henderson, the Boauager, with taking an extra case, Edgar at first denied it,-"but subsequently admitted it. Goods had been disappearing from the store recently, and i n consequence of keeping a look-out, Edgar's offence had been detected. The accused stated that he had been only twice to Forbes's store during the past five years. A fine of £5 or one month was imposed. .
