UNHAPPY MARRIAGE.
BARRISTER AND ACTRESS. A SUIT FOR DIVORCE. By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright, • (Received July. 15, -1.05 p.m.) LONDON, July 14. Mr John Hissey, a barrister, is suing for divorce from his wife, the actress, Queenie Mersiil. Albert Whelan, an Australian music-hall artist, is the co-respondent. Mr Hissey, in his evidence, stated that he ran through a fortune of £30,000, and his wife then claimed the right to frequent night clubs with other men, and one day threw herself on the floor and confessed misconduct with Whelan at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham. The case was adjourned.
