SCHOOL FOOTBALL
CHRIST'S COLLEGE v. HIGH SCHOOL. Anyone who goes to see the annual match between Christ's College and Boys' High School is usually safe in anticipating that he will see good football. To-day tfie game was played at the North Park on thej High School Ground, and, as is always the case, ®a large crowd of spectators watched the play. There were many old boys of both schools, and the blue-and-blaek and black-and-white rosettes and ribbons were prominent. In another respect the game was like those of past years. The barracking of past and present boys could,be. heard from a great distance as the long-drawn-out "School!" or the chorus of "College!" greeted some piece of good play. The teams were exceptionally well matched as to weights, the School team averaging list 61b, and the College team list 41b. In the first spell High School scored a potted goal and two tries, neither of which was converted. Christ's College scored one try, but in this case also the kick at goal was a failure. The spell ended with the scores:— High School 10 Christ's College .. .. 3
