HORSE SALE.
An entry of 35 horses was submitted by Messrs''H. Matson and Co. at their weekly horse sale on Saturday. The sale for all descriptions was miich better than has, been the case for some time past, and practically the whole entry was sold Under, the hammer at prices betted, than those ruling lately. Some of the principal sales were: —On account W. Strange and Co., an aged roan mare £l9, aged roan mare £11; W. Sheat (Riccartoh), six-year-old draught mare, £26 10/-; J- Winter (Irwell), seven-year-old half-draught mai'e, £ls; client, six-y<sar-old draught gelding, £27 10/-; Christchurch Meat Co., aged, half-draught
gelding £loj various clients, aged hacks and harness horses, £7, £8 10/-, £9, £lO .10/-, and up to £l2 10/-, and down to £1 for. an old and stiff aged donkey.
