SUMNER NOTES.
A vestry meeting was held on Friday evening in connection with All Saints' Church, Sumner, the vicar presiding. The resignation of Mr W. C. Armitage was Accepted with regret. Tfre vicar reported* that the work in connection with ttie Mission Hall at Bedcliffs was very satisfactory, and that owing to the increasing number of Sunday School scholars something would have to be done to provide more accommodation. It was decided to erect a board with the list of services at the entrance to the Redcliffs Mission Hall. At a meeting-of-the Sumner Committee of the Children*^Open-air Home; Fund held on Friday evening it was decided to hold a progressive euchre evening on' Wednesday, July 22, the proceeds to go to the fund. The Sumner Brass Band gave a selected programme on the rotunda on Sunday afternoon. A collection was taken "up, and the Children's Open-air Home Fund will benefit to the extent of about £2. ■'.'',■
