The coroner found that the officer in charge of the naval pinnace was responsible for the collision with the Coombar on Juno 9. [On June 9 the North Coast steamer Coombar ran down and sank in Sydney Harbour a naval cutter containing an officer and three of the crew of a submarine. John Reardon, a New Zealander, and .Joe MacGregor were picked up, but John Groves, a stoker, was drowned.]
