A feature of the sheep-breeders' annual show >s the predominance of British breeds, which -supply 312 out of 508 entries. New-Zealand is well represented in the long-wool sections, but Dominion are hardly so successful as at previous exhibitions. In Romney Marshes Mr J. A. Murdoch, of Overshiels, took first and champion and second for rani under twelve months, also first for pen of three rams of the same age. Mr Donald Grant, Timaru, took seconds for rams over two years and under two years. Mr Joseph Dowthwaite was third for ewe under twelve months. In Border Leicesters Mr Grant was second and Mr Dowthwaite third for ram over two years. Mr Grant was third for ram under two years. Mr Dowthwaite was first and second and Mr -Grant third for ram. under twelve months. Mr Dowthwaite was second and Mr Grant third, for ewe over two years. - Mr Dowthwaite was first and second for ewe under two years and was second with Mr Grapt third for ewe under twelve months. Mr Dowthwaite was first and Mr Grant second for pen of three rams under twelve months. Mr. Dowthwaite was second, and Mr, John Nixon, of Killinehy, third for pen of three ewes of the same age. Mr Drunskiil, of Wagga, and Mr Yelland, of Victoria, secured the bulk of the championships in these classes. Ten Corriedales were sold. Mr 0.
