ANGLO-COLONIALS DISTURBED. REPRESENTATIONS TO BE MADE. By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright. (Received July 2, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, July 1. A deputation of Anglo-Colonials asked the Hon. Thomas Mackenzie to take some action in regard to clause 5 of the Finance Bill, which provides that a lesi-dent of the United-Kingdom must pay income-tax on income acquired -abroad, whether they be remitted Home or not.
Mr Mackenzie consulted with the Canadian and South African representatives, and the Australian Agents-Gen-eral. They will probably discuss the matter with the Imperial authorities.
