RECIPROCAL TRADE.
CANADA AND NEW ZEALAND.
A COMMISSIONER PEOTESTS. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. OTTAWA, June 15. Mr W. A. Beddoe, Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, reports that New Zealand exporters are arranging with San Francisco and New York importers to accept increased consignments. Canadian trade is likely to be affected if New Zealand's tariff on United States manufactured articles should be reduced, and strong pressure is the only apparent cure for this. New Zealand exporters are naturally favouring concessions to a country which has opened to them new markets, but, on the other hand, a strong feeling prevails of dealing within the British Empire's confines, if such can be done advantageously.
