At the annual meeting of the l\*iparoa Coal Company to-day the report.-pro-•awietf by -the directors stated 1 that although the colliery was idle for three months in the past year, owing to tho general i ndustrial upheaval,. 32,000 tons of coal were won and placed on, the market. The output is now about 1200 tons per week. - Mr llenry F. Noes, of Dunedin, wjio was in the chair, said that while coal of the present quality was being turned out the directors ..said there was . nothing but prosperity ahead. Mr T. y. Weston, another director, explained that from August the weekly; output would be increased to 2000 tons. The prospects had never beeu so good as at present. - The report and balance-sheet were adopted.. Dr Prendergast Knight and Mr A. Crawford were re-elected directors. ...
