MORE SPEED WORK ON THE "MATCHLESS. On King's Birthday, at Miramar, Wellington, the Wellington Motor Cyclists' Club held their annual speed trials., The competition was run off on the/'knock-out" principle, riders starting in pairs, winners ride again. A h.p. Matchless, ridden by G. H. Tomline, won all its heats and the final, beating all .other machines up to: 9 h.p., and attaining a speed of over 70 m.p.h. All the Machines were Tourist Trophy Models. We have second-hand Matchless motor cycles for sale, each one being of late model, fully equipped, and in perfect condition. Also one 'A% b.p. 1912, free engine, 8.5.A., very little used, £SO; one )U h.p. 1912, two-speed, King Dick, just overhauled and in excellent 5 condition') £4'o. : All these motors will be foiinji ;to be; pf exceptional value. It is not our practice to buy business by offering absurd allowances on used'■machines, ami then charge enormous prices for new ones. This leads to inflation of values all round. Thus it is always possible to purchase from us a new Matchless or a; seeohd-hand machine of almost any make, at a price which'/|i(epi;esenta fair market, value. Enquiries are invited re above machines, and any reasonable trial will be accorded to bona fide buyers. MATCHLESS MOTOR AGENCY, N.Z., 92 Manflmwfi—'
