MR MASSEY'S MEETING.
THE ROWDY ELEMENT. SOCIALISTS DISCLAIM RESPONSIBILITY. The Ohristehurch branch of the* New Zealand Socialist Party passed the following resolution at their h&lfyearly meeting last night:— 1 ' That this meeting of Socialists disclaims any connection with the disorderly conduct of a large number of the audience attending Mr Massey's meeting on " Friday . evening. The Socialist, speakers sometimes -get this kind-of'treatment, ivand therefore understand f the injustice;, of ' it. . We know that the Premier 'and his : party are the force 'to pro- * gress, but in fairness to the peopjehe represents he should have received fair hearing. we submit to the people of this district" the opinion that noise and fiorce ; a jiist-rcause." '
