At the Police Court to-day William Tynan was charged with the attempted murder of'his: daughter, Evelyn, whom he waylaid when slie was leaving school and cut her throat with a razor.

The prisoner sat through the proceedings quite unconcernedly, having apparently only a spectator 's interest in the evidence, though lie occasionally displayed signs of nervous stress. , Detective M.'Malion stated that the prisoner, when arrested, expressed a desire to be hanged without delay.
