KAIAPOI. A stroke competition took place on Saturday on the Kaiapoi links, 21 competing. The best scores were: — Gross. Hep. Net. Mr T. R. Leithead .. 77 10 67 Mr Leon Wilson k , 79 10 69 Mr Gordon Blackwell 84 15 69 Dr J. H. Crawsliaw.» 89 18 71 ASHBTJETdK. At a match played on tho Ashburton golf links for a prize presented by the Misses Friedlander, Mrs Wood, with a handicap of 24, and Miss Denshire (12) were first, equal, with a net score of 47. LYTTELTON CLUB. Last week-end there was a good attendance of members of the Lytteltoa Golf Club on their links at Charteria Bay. The principal event played was a mixed foursome, Mr and Mrs Simpson proving the winners. On.Wednesday, June 3, there are to be 31 visiting golfers playing with the local club on the links, and special arrangements have been made for their .conveyance across the harbour.
