TRAMWAY (MIS) MANAGEMENT.
To the Editor of THE SUN. -
Sir, —Can anyone explain why the tramway management make no provision for the regular meeting of expresses at the Christcliurch station? Surely it would pay to have a special tram waiting if the time-table must be strictly adhered to. Last evening, and at other times, we have had to wait for trams or patronise the expensive luxury, viz., a taxi cab. To add to discontent last evening, a tram and trailer came down Manchester Street and'turned along the South Belt,'presumably to back the trailer into the station (the usual method, I believe), but to everyone's surprise it went on its course, leaving the express passengers to cool their heels. Something is wrong somewhere, and I hope you or someone who can get to the root of the trouble will take it up.—l' am, etc.,
