([From Our Special Correspondents.) AMBERLEY. On Monday evening Mr' and ' Mrs Bftackhouse entertained a number of guests at "Mt. Brown'' to celebrate the coming of age of their daughter, Hiss Stackhouse. -Toasts—"Miss Stackhouse," proposed by Mr Shirtcliff e, responded to by Mr E. Chamber - - lain; "Mr and Mrs Stackhouse,'' proposed by'Mr W. H. Hale, responded to "toy Mr Stackhouse—-were honoured, and dancing was indulged in until the early lours of the morning. • ~, ANNAT. The usual Weekly euchre party in connection with' the Annat Social Club was held'in'.the.Orange HalLon Tuesday evening,: when there was a large attendance, •12' tables being occupied, so that there was plenty of competition for the provided. Mrs and Mr H. Miller, of Russell's Flat, won the ! ladies' and gentlemen's first prizes respectively, while Miss. I. M'Curdy and Mr Wm. Black gained the "booby" prizes. After eards, supper was handed round and enjoyed. These gatherings are becoming more and more popular every week, tors coming from Waddington, Sheffield, . Bnssell 'a Flat, ■ and Springfield to take paTt, thus showing that something of the kind is necessary in the country. Buseh, N. 0., presided over a fair attendance •f members: Sick payment was passed for : two members. It was decided to aßk P.P.G.M. Bio. G. A; M'Lean, of .the Leithfield Lodge, t6 :attend the Amberley Lodge next lodge night, for the,- purpose of; giving a .report of the teeent B.M.C. nieetiiig heldat Waiiganui; also to hold a card party,and dance on June 10. The lawn tennis section of the Ran- / _ giora Bowling, Croquet and Lawn ■ Tennis Club, held a meeting in the Pavilion jrootts last evening, Mr E. R.
