SUCCESSFUL GROWERS. The exhibition of chrysanthemums, fruit, and vegetables being held in the Art Gallery ■will be kept open again to-day. The fol lowing, awards were made after THE SUN went to press last night:— Pot Plants. Amateurs.—Group of plants, staged for effect: W. E. Clothier 1. Two chrysanthemums! varieties, not less than three blooms on each plant (first prize R.H.S. floral silver medal) : W. E. Clothier 1.
Cut Blooms. Amateur. —Twelve Japanese chrysanthemums, distinct varieties: W. .Busch 1, J. H. Kingsland 2. Six Japanese,- distinct varieties: W. Busch 1, J. H. Kingsland 2. Six Japanese, one variety: W. Busch 1, Edwin Smith 2. Six Japanese, two 'varieties, white and yellow: P. T. Wornall 1, W. Busch 2. Six Japanese, distinct varieties, out-door grown: W. Busch : 1, P. T. Wornall 2. Six incurved chrysanthemums, not less, than four varieties: P. T. Wornall 1, W. E. Clothier 2. Six Japanese, not less than four varieties, open to those who have never taken a first prize for chrysanthemums: Mrs Martin 1, G. H. Congreve 2. Nine blooms, three distinct varieties: W. H. Hammett 1, W. E. Clothier 2; Two vases chrysanthemums, five'blooms in each vase: Edwin Smith 1, W. E. Clothier 2. Six trusses, large flowering chrysanthemums, distinct varieties: W. E. Clothier 1 and 2. Pour vases single chrysanthemums, distinct varieties: Mrs Holdsworth 1 and 2.
