The annual meeting of parishioners of the Lower Biccarton parochial district will be held in the church room at 8 o'clock to-night. The vicar's letter states that good work had been carried out in all departments of the church, especially in the Sunday school. The churchwardens' report states that the Bish&p had granted the request for the sole services of a vicar, on the understanding that the vestry would increase its guarantee to the stipend fund from £7O to £BO. The attendances at the church services have increased, and the building of a church will soon become a necessity. The vestry hopes to have a definite scheme to bring forward in connection with this matter at an early date. The building fund shows a credit-balance of £IBO, an increase of £62 over last year. The Guild Boom was completed at a cost of £223. The financial statement shows that the receipts of the general account amount to £328 8/8, and expenditure £313 16/7, leaving a credit balance of £ls 12/1. The receipts of the Sunday-school ac; count amounted to £36 0/2, and expenditure £2O 19/11, leaving a credit balance of £6 Q/'i.
