MUSICAL DISTINCTION.
FOR LOCAL LADY. Information has been received by the local secretary that Miss Audrey Theodora Gibson has been elected to an Exhibition in pianoforte, at the Royal Academy of Music, London. These Exhibitions entitle the holder to free musical tuition at the Royal Academy of Music or the Royal College of Music, for not less than two years. They are awarded, on the recommendation of the examiners, to the candidates showing exceptional musical promise. The award to Miss Gibson is the result of her examination bv Mr F. de G. English last year. She is a pupil of Mr Herman Maire Lund. It is believed that this is the first time that one of these Exhibitions has come to Christchureh.
