SOCIAL WORK. Five representatives of the Young glen's Christian Association left yesterday with two ljfirge marquees and several volunters din the troop train for Kowai Bush, the Territorial camp. The large tents will be erected in the centre of the camp, and real social work done for the men., which is very much appreciated. Friends interested have contributed large quantities of printed mattet-. The newspapers have furnished letter heads and envelopes, and musical instruments and. . games have been lOaned by many organisations and individuals. In this extension work the association has established a club house at Lake Coleridge which is largely patronised by the men; The warm fire is much appreciated |in that altitude on these frosty nighfe. A shower bath with warm water, and. a stove on which to make tea, are conveniences to men ; who have been working eight hours in muc\ and water. Visits are also made ito the sheep-herders' camps and literaI ture left.
