BAILING VESSELS. Oombeve, left Marseilles January 24. SHIPPING NOTES. The steamer Westmeuth, which left Liverpool on February 14, via port y, arrived ;it Auckland this morning. She is expected at Lyttelton surly in May. There is no furl her news of the Henrik Ibsen, which left New York on January 23, and which is now overdue at Melbourne. Tomorrow the New Zealand Shipping Company's chartered steamer Jessevic, from St. John, is expected to leave Wellington for Lyt- • telton in continuation of her discharging operations. According to cabled advice received on Sundty, the Shaw, Savill steamer Waiwera left London on that day for New Zealand. She is expected to reach Auckland early v in June, and then calls at Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Oil Saturday the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Kaipara left London for Dunedin and Lyttelton, and she is due at Dun«di n about May 30

The turbine steamer Maheno will arrive at "Wellington from Sydney on Wednesday. Slie is en route to Port Chalmers, to have new engines fitted, and leaves for the south a few hours after arrival. The Maitai will proceed from Wellington to Melbourne in place of the Maheno. Bluff, Hobart, and Melbourne cargo will bo lifted here by the vessel to-day. A projected departure from the Pacific Slope for Australian ports and . New Zealand last week-end Avas the U.S.S. Company's chartered steamer Canada Cape. Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne will be the vessel's ports of discharge. It is expected that the Surrey will leave Wellington for Avomnouth on Thursday.

• To-day the steamer Suffolk is to leave Wellington t'or London. She has been on the loading- berth under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company. A cablegram has been received stating that the cargo carrier Otaki, which left Wellington for London on February 22, arrived at the Home port on March 9.

Line, the chartered steamer Marere will be the next vei-sel to take the loading berth at New York t'or Australian and New Zealand ports, and is timed to leave on May 2. She is preceded by the steamer Franldyn, which was to leave on April 12. The Aparhna was due at Singapore from Calcutta on Thursday last. The Rakaia is to leave Lyttelton on the 16th inst. for Southampton, London, Hull, and Newcastle. The Orari, homeward bound, left Monte Video on the 9th inst.
