NEXT SESSION.
LEGISLATION FORESHADOWED. Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 13. The Prime Minister, Hon. W. F. Massey, states that the Government is determined to pass next session a Legislative Council Reform Bill, embodying an elective Upper Chamber. A Bill dealing with the method of election of members of the House of Representatives will be introduced, also a Local Government Reform Bill, inaugurating an improved system allocating grants for public works. A Land Bill of some kind may be looked for, to remedy defects in the existing laws, and making provision for the adjustment of the complicated conditions affecting settlement on the West Coast of the Soxith Island*
