DOCTORS PUZZLED.
AN UNACCOUNTABLE DEATH.

DUNEDIN, April 13. Peculiar circumstances were revealed this morning at the inquest on Samuel Shirrft Horace KirkJaml, a mining student who was found dead in bed on Sunday morning.
Tlie doctors who conducted the post mortem stated that the body was well nourished and weli developed musand that all'the internal organs unci the brain were normal, and they were »t a loss to account for the cause of deat*.. Particular attention was paid to tlie heart, from which it was supposed deceased had been suffering, but it was found to be quite normal and all the valves perfect. : The suggestion w&s made that death might be due to poisoning, but the doctors said that the examination had been most careful, and there was nothing to indicate poisoning, 'adding, however, that the only test foi that would be a chemical analysis of the contents of the stomach.
At the request of the police the inquest was adjourned sine die, to allow Buch a test to be made.
