WEDDING.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at Lower Riccarton Baptist Church on March 18, when' Miss 'Mabel Heyward was united to Mr Arthur Wigzell. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly gowned in white mousseline de soie, trimmed with silk all-over lace and ; chiffon. The tulle veil was fastened with a wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white roses and carnations, with asparagus and maiden-hair fern. Miss M. Hancock and Miss L. Heyward made two charming bridesmaids, attired in white silk poplin, with wreaths of rosebuds and shower bouquets of mauve sweet peas and maiden-hair. Mr H. G. Hancock attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony, a re' ception was held at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs Kennedy, of Clarence Road. The wedding breakfast was served in a large marquee erected on the lawn, and tastefully decorated with flowers. The piece de resistance was a magnificent cake, made and presented by Mrs Kennedy. A dance was given in the evening, and many pretty frocks were worn by the ladies present. A handsome set of dining room chairs and an antique ~ copper kerb and fireirons were presented to the happy couple by the employees of the firm of Messrs A. J. White, Ltd. Amongst the other presents were a number of cheques, a handsome sideboard, an extension dining table, a Wedgwood dinner service, a Royal Doulton bedroom a case of carvers, two marble clocks, and some exquisite specimens of silver ware and R<jyal Doulton china.
