Yesterday afternoon the Christ's College and Boys' High School Cadets paraded for inspection at Hagley Park by ,^c9S v Excellency the Governor, who also jpesented the Snow Shield to tM win&£||, the Christ's College team. ; The cadets were... first inspected by Colonel Smyth, 0.C.D., and at 5.30 the Governor arrived and a second inspection was made. Lord Liverpool was accompanied by his aide-de-camp, Captain Eastwood. •In asking s Lord Liverpool to present the Snow Shield, Colonel Snow said the trophy had been competed for during seven years on the lines laid down by Field-Marshal Sir Evelyn Wood. It had been won four times by' Christ's College, and three times by the High School. What was aimed at was to secure efficient marksmanship at unknown distances. While congratulating the winners, Lord Liverpool, in making the presentation, had also a word of praise for the losing team, as he understood there had been little to choose between the two. . Amongst those who witnessed the parade were Lord Rochdale, an English visitor, Major E. A. Belcher, headmaster of Christ's College, and Mr C. E. Bevan Brown, headmaster of the Boys' High School. The total number of cadets on parade was 484, including the combined bugle bands. Captain Finnis was in command:
