RANGIORA.
The Catholics of the Rangiora parish are celebrating the Festival of Ireland's Patron Saint by having two concerts, one at the Volunteer Hall, ' Rangiora, and the other at the Town Hall, East Oxford. The cream of the local and Christchurch talent has been requisitioned, and from the sale of tickets in both districts there is every reason to hope that the efforts will realise a substantial amount. The ornamentation of the Catholic Church at Rangiora has been greatly increased by a very artistic stained-glass window being placed in the sanctuary. At the Rangiora Court this morning, Gabriel Hadling and Lena Hadling were charged with drunkenness. . They were convicted and discharged. Arthur Greeks, for the same offence, was fined 5/- and costs.
