San Diego, California, lays claim to a freak of nature in the shape of a puppy dog whose sense of distance is reversed. When called he backs away from his master, although it is obvious that he wants to go to him. A scientist became interested in the animal, and found out that it had astigmatic myopia. He fitted glasses to "Fido, and it can now chase a cat as successfully as any other dog.
