The 50yds Schoolgirls' Championship was held at the Tepid Baths yesterday afternoon. There were 35 entrants, of whom 18 started. The following are the results: —First heat: Thelma Kent, (Technical College 1, Beatrice Lloyd (West Christchurch) 2. Time, 54sec. Second heat: Dorothy Cruickshank (Normal) 1, Marjorie Nicholls (Girls' High School) 2. Time, 54sec. Third heat: Doris Humphreys (Ashburton) 1, Queenie Baird (Ashburton) 2. Time, 54sec. Pinal: Thelma Kent (Technical College) 1, Dorothy Cruickshank (Normal) 2, Beatrice Lloyd (West Christchurch) 3. Won by two yards. Time, 59sec.
