' It has recommended legislation for State option, in addition to local option, with ballots on the basis ,of a bare majority vote, and has entered protests againSt Sunday military exercises, and prize fighting, 'dgginst the licensing of Stadiums. , (The conference also urges' the. Attorney to refuse to iauthorise art unions, which are instruments of gambling, and has urged all Methodists tto (abstain from secular engagements and unnecessary travelling on Sunday. ' ;
