HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

MONTHLY MEETING. The usual "monthly mooting of the Heathcotc County Council %vas held last night, when there were' present Mr G. Scott (chairhfian) - and Messrs G. K. Burton, T. Bray, E. Armstrong, jun., L. Mulcock, P. Anderson, and E. Richardson.

The Finance Committee reported that there was a credit balance of £1985 7/1 on the District Fund Account; a debit balance on the ing Loan Account of £4334 3/7, and a credit balance- on the Sewage and Water Loan Account of £1982 14/1. The report' was adopted." The Engineer reported that the sewage main had been-taken up to the west of Hackthorne Road for a distance of 34 chains, and .everything was ready to commence the septic tank. As soon as a reply was received from the Drainage Board, it would be put in -hand. A settlement having been arrived at with Rhodes's Trustees in Regard to the widening of Dyer's Pass Road; this work had been; put in hand and would be completed in a fortnight. > The report was adopted.
