CHRIST'S COLLEGE v. HIGH SCHOOL.
Under perfect weather conditions and on a good wicket,, the second match of the season between Boys' High "School and Christ's College Grammar School elevens was commenced this afternoon. There was a large attendance of parents and friends. The previous lrtatch 'was won by High School, and considerable interest attaches' to the game commenced to-day at Hagley Park. College went' in first, and Lowry and Helmore faced^the bowlers. Sojriething had been expected ofe, Lowry, but his luck deserted him, and he spent about five minutes at the wicket before he went out lbw to Nixon. He made four only,. ' Averill Vent in |o take his place, and started off with a one and two fours. Both Helmore and Averill seemed well at home, and after, 15 minutest play the score showed six fours and three ones. - . . ■ '/* * Helmore nearly went out at 'l3, when Oakley threw in a hsrd one and found the wickets. Nixon and Graham yrefet doing the bowlings "■! Helmore tried td go a§gain, a ball well off the wicket. Then he did some out, cleans bowled by Graham at 13; The total stood' at 32, and two wickets were down. Wanklyn went in, and when he was six played forward to a-shoft ball..
