' (Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) Arthur Edward Byron, who appeared on a charge of drunkenness was remanded for a week. He was also charged .with a breach of his prohibition order, ' -.. -the seventh, and. was again remanded. Lily, Logan, for drunkenness, was * ~fined 10/-, with the alternative of going, to gaol for 48 hours. ; . Allan M'Donslld, charged with being "an .idle and disorderly person, wept ' when he entered the dock, and made a ' : plaintive appeal to the bench. He was \ remanded for a-week. Chief-Detective . Bishop stated that accused had held up . a youth and demanded a shilling. On --> the "siller" not being forthcoming, ,M'Donald ill-treated the person from whom he-had . attempted to raise, a forced loan. FURNITURE OR A WIFE.
