AUSTRALIA v. NEW ZEALAND. Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 6. The weather is now fine, and there is every prospect of it remaining so. Reese won the toss and decided to bat, sending Whitta and Hickmott in on an excellent wicket.
The latest report telegraphed states that New Zealand has lost five wickets for 126 runs (Tuckwell b Armstrong 50, Horspool c b Crawford 20, Reese b Armstrong 4). The annual cricket/match betwen the wholesale and retail chemists of Christchurch will be played on the Y.M,C.A. ground, Hagley Park, at 2.15 p.m. tomorrow. Afternoon tea will be dispensed by the ladies, and in the evening the annual dinner will be held at Freeman's Cafe, High Street. The following are the teams: —Retail: A. Steeds, E. C. Smith, W. J.
