(Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) DRINK. Seven male first offenders for drunkenness were each fined 5/-] in default 24 hours' imprisonment. John Monteith, a second offender for drunkenness, was fined 10/-, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. Maggie Williams admitted that she had had " a drop of drink,'' but denied indignantly* : that she" fiad importuned passengers in Madras,street, She was sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
