PRIZE DRAMAS.

HAMPSTEAD SCHOOLMASTER'S SUCCESS. A remarkable success in the £IOO prize play competition inaugurated by Lord Howard de Walden has been scored by Mr ]). T. Da vies, a secondary schoolmaster living at Hampstead. The prize is offered yearly for dramas dealing with Welsh life. Mr Davies told the "Daily Mirror" that he only began to write plays a year ago. ~.',,.. "1 had. never before entered ;for the competition," he saidl "I sent in three plays,- and the £IOO prize has been divided amongst the writers of the four best plays.
