The Trans-Atlantic Film Co., iwfyich has lately opened magnificent offices in Loudon, has at its disposal 50 mijes »f new film every week. In the production of this great length of film more than 1,800 persons are regularly employed in America. The Trans-. Atlantic Co. has built an entire in California, about 20 miles from Los, Angeles, which is inhabited only by members of the firm. Universal City, as it is named, is laid out on modern lines, and is beautiful with parks,. fardens,. squares and avenues. All inds of entertainments are provided £or the actor, cowboy, and mechanic tfmptoyees, and the community js one of the happiest in existence. Np fewer than 15 companies of actors and; actseases are engaged in Universal City.
